Salt & Stane is our wonderful mid summer interlude. The collection is inspired by our magical Moray coast and it's dwellers and inhabitants. Local artist Jane is known for her highly detailed realism, which she has mixed here with slightly surreal dreamscapes.
The Fishing towns featured are Cullen with it's distinctive rooftops and Sandend, a gorgeous little neuk in the North East, both have stunning unspoilt beaches and it is lovely for us to be representing something beautiful and local with this exhibition.
Jane Jensen is a Grays Art School graduate who has built up an impressive folio and creative business under the moniker Purplejain alongside her teaching career. Many of you will know her work from her regular outlets and pop ups where her Scottish themed pieces can be found on various apparel and merchandise delighting both locals and tourists. This year Jane has left her teaching behind and jumped into art as her main career. This is her very first gallery feature of new originals since then, which we are delighted to present.
