Esther Green
“My artwork is characterised by controlled lines, detail & pattern. I draw inspiration from music, the natural world, stories & art, working almost exclusively in ink. I greatly admire the work & creative minds of artist Harry Clarke & authors Edgar Allen Poe & Lewis Carroll.
As well as being exhibited, my images have been used to accompany the work of musicians & writers. I’ve most recently been influenced by the imagery & elements of folk horror art”
We are delighted to welcome Esther to the new space with a brand new collection “Flights of Fancy” in collaboration with Ros O Neill. We have been working with Esther since our first “pop up” shows a few years back and her beautiful line work always reveals twists and surprises. Here we see a brilliant contrast in line, reflecting both the flatness and depth reminisant of stained glass, which was our inspiration for this collaborative show, given Esther’s love of Harry Clarke’s work. Bauhaus fans may notice a little thread running through the titles (cleverly matching each piece so well)
