Lea Barozzi is a Portland, OR artist whose work has shown all over the world.
Her illustrations have been featured on surfboards, skateboards, cd covers, books, jewelry, and apparel. Lea Barozzi's subject matter juxtaposes innocent doll-like maidens with distorted natural imagery and psychological symbolism. When she is not covered in paint, she enjoys exploring the Oregon coast, listening to punk rock, and devouring scifi/fantasy.
We are delighted to have Lea featured in our international group show “Salt and Salt” - With a passion for surfing and the ocean, it was a natural fit. Lea created 6 brand new pieces for the show, featuring her instantly recognisable maidens and creatures. We have been trusted with framing the inks here in Scotland and look forward to finding the perfect match for our opening in May.
Lea swings between her detailed and atmospheric use of oils to her beautiful line work in ink effortlessly where her signature use of masonite board gives a warm and rich backdrop to her scenes- we love the little details which tie this set of works together and hope you will find something beautiful to treasure too.
