Scottish Artist and gallery regular Jodie Bews works predominantly in watercolour with ink, weaving beautiful scenes in a magical realism style influenced by her natural surroundings.
When not creating Jodie owns and manages her Everlongart Studio & Gift Shop on the Main Street in Alford, selling works on behalf of other UK Artists, Designers and Makers. Everlong has become a wonderful asset to the local community. Inspiration time includes long walks with dogs Brindi and George, time at sacred sites, castles and standing stones as well as a passion for wild swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding.
You will find many things in Jodies paintings including animals, insects, flowers and figurative portraits with often a fantasy, mythological narrative.
Jodie sees beauty in everything and takes so much inspiration from every day life and the present moment too.
