In the land of the healing waters you will find me
On the tongue of lark and wax of wing I whisper secrets of the soft green ones
A hazel shroud on the wishing pool all restored and new
Defiant and bold with quiet wisdom from each shoot and root
Told only to I, yet humbly put for the good of all to nourish and heal
We did well to mend sinew, blood and bone. Of spite and rage and green eye, my loss was sealed.
They scattered to the winds of the West
Elderfower, Dandelion, Hawthorn and Yarrow
They scattered to the winds of the East
Meadowsweet, Valerian and Feverfew
They scattered my cloak to the North too
Nettle, Garlic, Fennel and Hop
They scattered to the South and far off lands with
Marshmallow, Berry and Hazel Bark
But through my tears I told the birds and the tiny moths with their own words, which I also knew.
Safely, safely a puzzle to keep on powdered wings. You need only ask.
I know my kin, so gather healers one and all. I hid everything you may need.
You need only ask.
