Golden Goddess Crown
Ammolite/ Jasper/ Paua Shell and Malachite in Sterling Silver
Victoria Markham- Silver Orb Jewellery
Size Height: 4.5cm
This incredible crown features ammolites, red jasper, Paua shell, malachite and silver ball detailing.
The band is textured using a vintage metal stamp and is fastened using ribbon, for a comfortable and adjustable fit. It is light weight and magical in the sunshine, which helps the colours glow. This crown was originally created for a photo shoot, with Victoria Gray Photography, taken on a sunny day in between lockdowns. Anita saw the photos and asked if it could be used on a second part of the Magpie exhibition, which I was thrilled about. Ammolite is a rare opal-like organic gemstone found primarily along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is made of the fossilized shells of ammonites.
This piece is featured in the painting “Six for Gold” by Anita Inverarity.
