Moonhush is a contemplative cat figure inspired by lunar folklore and zodiac symbolism.
Painted in deep blue tones suggestive of moonlit skies, the sculpture sits quietly between the familiar and the mythical, its large reflective eyes inviting a moment of pause and imagination.
In several Asian traditions, including the Vietnamese zodiac where the Cat takes the place of the Rabbit, the animal is associated with intuition, grace and quiet intelligence. These qualities informed the character of Moonhush, though the piece is intended less as a direct representation of a zodiac sign and more as an evocation of the calm, watchful presence often attributed to cats beneath the night sky.
Hand-sculpted from paper clay and finished with layered paints and subtle metallic highlights, Moonhush seeks to capture a sense of stillness, mystery and gentle beauty.
