The Maypole Dance
Sue Rundle-Hughes – England
Medium: Acrylic on hot press paper 300gsm
Art size: 10 x 8 inches
It’s traditional at Beltane for the mice to dance around the maypole after the people have gone home.
This year, Maisie declared herself May Queen and made a forget-me-not headdress, plus a daisy chain belt for her bff, Milly.
Gerald, not to be outdone, made himself a flower necklace and wore it proudly for a week, until it died.
