The Traveller was inspired by a visit to see the Galloway Viking Age Hoard in Aberdeen Art Gallery.
It reflects the discovery that travel and trade were happening in this great age on the Silk Road before migration and settlement in the area and across to Ireland.
Several pieces from the hoard are featured in the travellers robes.
