In Afro-Brazilian religions like Candomblé, Ewá is the Orisha of intuition and clairvoyance who holds a direct connection to cowrie-shell divination (jogo de búzios). She governs the unseen and the future, and she is believed to grant Candomblé priests and priestesses the clarity and intuition needed to interpret the patterns created by the cast shells.
