In seeking to depict divinatory practices, I could not ignore how, in recent times, they have become a phenomenon stripped of all depth and reflection; thus, I decided to approach the project from a deeply personal perspective.

Practices like the Tarot are often trivialized and reduced to mere prediction, completely ignoring their value as tools for self-knowledge. This piece arises from reflecting on our obsession with controlling the future, a pursuit of certainty and outcomes so rigid that it limits our ability to adapt, to and navigate whatever lies ahead.

In the face of this desperate desire to illuminate the future, I wanted to explore the idea that true ‘strength’ does not come from seeking out or holding on to the light, but from knowing how to carry it as everything around us begins to fade, setting control aside and embracing uncertainty.
