Posable doll.
Upcycled vintage fabrics, mostly upholstery fabric or costumes, old wooden boxes. They may have imperfections such as : visible stitches ,white fabric yellowed , signs of wear … They lived a life before and still do in another form: that’s what I’m looking for.
Faces are not smooth.
Clothes are sewn in and not removable.

I roam mountains and forests in search of treasures that Nature has left behind; I gather them, It is, then, a long process to reshape ,to give them a form, a face, and an expression all their own and breathe life into them and stories to tell you.
Each piece is completely unique : I never use molds.

The Magician

He summons it. He starts and stands still.
What stands? The other; everything that is not him,
becomes a being. And the whole being turns
a hastily formed face towards him, which is more.

O Magician, hold on, hold on, hold on!
Create balance. Stand calmly on the scales,
so that on one side they bear you and the house,
and on the other, that which has grown upon it.

A decision is made. The bond is formed.
He knows the summons outweighed his refusal.
Yet his face, as if with hands covering the hands,
is midnight. He, too, is bound.
